They're still in the cupboard 15 years later in the hope I might fix them properly and salvage what I can! I love the pattern and the fabric.
Let's see my first quilt disaster was a small wall hanging that had nine reindeer. 1 - I didn't get the reindeer centered in their blocks - so some of the antlers are missing. 2- I didn't square up my blocks after adding the reindeer to them. Need I go on --- I got so frustrated I never finished the project.
rsgrandinetti@yahoo(DOT)comRenee Ghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16405063753972082642noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6706014191709190790.post-82053971998010201412010-07-26T01:26:04.917+10:002010-07-26T01:26:04.917+10:00This comment has been removed by the author.Tonghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04516193410226564444noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6706014191709190790.post-89481877955778674492010-07-26T00:38:59.863+10:002010-07-26T00:38:59.863+10:00this is so gorgeous and so amazing. what a beautif...this is so gorgeous and so amazing. what a beautiful pattern. thank you for sharing and having a giveaway.Lesliehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11183716038434262407noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6706014191709190790.post-26467119677922095142010-07-25T23:02:21.738+10:002010-07-25T23:02:21.738+10:00my first quilt was for my daughter - i thought i d...my first quilt was for my daughter - i thought i did all the research nessesary to make it - buuut didnt think that consistant 1/4 inch seams could really be thaaat important!Jessicahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12521170678485745043noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6706014191709190790.post-11512002956206083842010-07-25T09:12:14.666+10:002010-07-25T09:12:14.666+10:00Awesome quilt and thank you for the giveaway. Biggest disaster...hmmm...there ...Gorgeous castles! Biggest disaster...hmmm...there have been a few! Probably it was the needleturn applique Christmas wall quilt I made after a class with Sue Cody. Looked gorgeous...hours of work...you have the idea. After the embroidery was complete, I noticed a little blue marker was still visible, so I thought I would spray it with cold water. Disaster! I had not washed the red fabric I had appliqued with & it ran, all through the cream background, nothing I could do to help it, unsalvagable! All I could do was throw it out...but I remade it with different, washed red fabric & still put it out each year!Cardygirlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17026568765719333041noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6706014191709190790.post-15611838130908701802010-07-23T06:05:16.616+10:002010-07-23T06:05:16.616+10:00Oh, I jumped too quick to comment in my excitement...Oh, I jumped too quick to comment in my excitement. There's a lesson in there.
Disaster no 2 involved an intricate appliqued block and an inquisitive child with a rotary cutter..... stack and slash, indeed!Marihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18187999038701751745noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6706014191709190790.post-31346599244659419992010-07-22T01:26:43.331+10:002010-07-22T01:26:43.331+10:00Great quilt, lovely design, and great pics!
