Your quilt looks beautiful! I've just started doing hand quilting with the perl cotton on a couple of quilts and I'm loving it too! I think I'm hooked.
:-) and one can see that!! :-) But i know what you mean. Even as a quiltbeginner i prefer handquilting. I just love it! But i didn't dare to quilt with different colors.
so wonder you're having fun - it's turning out fantastic! love the bright colors - this makes me wish I copied yours exactly but then all my unlined up triangle squares would look real bad! I decided to stitch in the ditch and had a few little mishaps but I am happy it's turning out decent for my first one (plus it's for ME so I don't expect perfection, ha!) will share pics this weekend and send you a link! take your time with the binding tutorial - relax & enjoy! hugs!
I abandoned hand quilting after trying it for the first time (with horrendous results!), but watching this quilt come together over the past few weeks has inspired me to try again!
I am hand quilting for the first time. I did several large flower designs. Then I said: Hmmm...I think it needs some more quilting here. And here. And here. I'm having so much fun! I didn't think I would like it, but I love it! I want to hand quilt everything now :)
I can understand! Hand quilting is so enjoyable and I think this zig zag is one of the best patterns to have so many beautiful stitched lines in different colours! How you can stop... xxx Teje
